ERCTIGZ means Everybody's Really Creative, tigz!

The first time I ever expressed myself visually was when I carved a crude image of Batman onto the face of my parents' piano. I was 4 years old and was inspired by the colorful pages at the Jane and Finch mall spinner racks. The tools might have changed but my thirst for expression still stands strong. While I do love teaching I cannot stop telling stories through my artwork. "Everybody's Really Creative" is a mantra I whisper to myself every time I create. Deep down, it reminds me that whether it's you or me, we all have a story to tell.

My Brief Bio

Holding credentials as a graduate from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, and Seneca College’s Digital Media Art program, Eric Tigley has spent many years walking a thin line between illustrator/designer, fine artist, and educator. Realizing that these career paths were all related in the realm of communication, Eric pursued a career that incorporated the art of visual interaction and learning. Also, having been born and raised in the Jane and Finch area of Toronto, Eric realizes the importance of community and social change.
